Oh my. If we could only call ourselves feminists after we've 'purified' ourselves from all misogynist, patriarchal programming, there'd be no feminism.

I wish I could say it's *only* body image that clouds my vision but I've discovered, especially over the last couple of years that I've worked extensively with men on masculinity, that I hold so many stupid, misogynist, ridiculous beliefs, it's not even funny. Not on a cognitive level necessarily but way deep.

I am a feminist. Thou shalt have no doubt. Facing and removing my own contribution to the oppressive system is one of the bravest acts I have ever embarked on.
